How to Help!

Emily & myself wrote this letter to our "fans" on facebook, but wanted to share it with the blog world as well. Read and learn how to become involved with Ekisa!

Dear Friends,

First, we want to thank you all for reading/following our blog. We hope to keep it updated regularly as we move to Uganda and get started with this exciting project! If you want to know more about Ekisa or if you haven’t visited the website yet, please do; our friend Ross did an amazing job putting it together. Just click here: www.ekisa.org

Secondly, we need to ask for your help. These are tough economic times to be starting a non-profit organization and we are still a long way from reaching our target goal of $20,000 dollars. We know that God is bigger than economic problems and He will provide everything we need to start this ministry. We also know that He will do this through people like YOU. People who are willing to partner with us on this journey, pray with us, and spread the word to others about Ekisa. On our website we have a PayPal account set up with different monthly sponsorship levels ($5, $10,$25,$50.) At the moment, the very best way you can support us financially is to commit to giving a monthly donation. You can also give a onetime donation with the amount of your choice. If you have never used PayPal before it is VERY easy and safe to use. You don’t even need an account to be able to donate. If this is something you could do you can donate by clicking on this link: www.ekisa.org/donate

Proverbs 3:27-28 (NIV) Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow” when you now have it with you.

These children need your help TODAY!

By committing to give just a small monthly donation to Ekisa you can make a huge difference to some very special children. If you give up your morning coffee twice once a month and brew a pot at home instead you can save enough money to sponsor us each month.

If you can’t give financially there is still so much you can do to help. Spread the word about Ekisa. Talk to your friends, share the link on your facebook profile, or make an announcement in your church (we have some resources you can use if this is something you feel called to do – email us at info@ekisa.org ). Every little bit helps and you never know where these conversations might lead.

Finally (and most importantly) you can pray with us; for these beautiful children (those we know already and those we have yet to meet) for our financial situations, and for us as we pack up and move to Uganda.

Thank you to all those people who are already supporting us in one or all of these ways. It is so appreciated and we really feel your prayers.

Proverbs 19:17 (The Message) Mercy to the NEEDY is a loan to GOD, and GOD pays back those loans in full.

God bless,
