24 hours before I left for America in February, I got a
phone call.
A phone call that was about a little boy who needed a place
to heal. A little boy who had been
starved because of his disability. A
little boy who needed healing, physically and emotionally. A little boy who needed to be shown the love
of Jesus.
Isaac on February 1st, 2012
So 24 hours before I left for America, Issac joined the
Ekisa family. In the day I spent with him,
my heart broke. I knew because I was
leaving that there was nothing I could do for this sweet boy. So I prayed.
I prayed for healing and for strength. Then I looked up what the name Isaac means. It means to laugh. So I prayed that when I came back to Ekisa in
a month and a half, Isaac would be full of joy.
And oh, he is overflowing with joy. And how he
laughs!
God healed this little boy, and continues to do a mighty work in him daily. The Lord has blown us away once
again with Isaac.
One week before I came back to Uganda, another Isaac joined
the Ekisa family. He was also starving
for food and love. As he gains strength and God does a mighty work in one of
his precious children, will you pray with me for JOY and laughter in this sweet
Issac’s life? That he may be healed and
his tiny body restored!
One day, he will laugh.
He will find joy. That is my
prayer.
